Students make AR goals

We had another successful day!  We have several students who have made their AR goal for the first nine weeks!  Congratulations to Joseph, Daisy, Kayson, Andrew, Tucker, Creston, Mitchell, and Bianca.  Today we had our first student double his goal!  Congratulations, Kayson!

We started with some rounding warm-ups and expanded form practice.

We continued our Kevin Henkes author study.  Today we started our chart.  We will finish this tomorrow.  

In math we worked on our adding and subtracting with regrouping.  We are really practicing this, as well as our basic facts.  It helps to be on top of our math facts.

In science we got to get out our Match Box cars and discussed their traits, and what makes them move.  I was so excited when a child said, "When it moves, that shows us kinetic energy!"  Yes! They were paying attention!
