Class reads and studies about the Wright Brothers

We had a great Monday, but I think we are all tired of it being wet and cold.  At least I know they are tired of indoor recess.

We had morning wake-up this morning.  

We read another nonfiction book today.  We also listened to a story about the Wright Brothers.  The book they are bringing home tonight is also about the Wright Brothers.  

We worked with 2-D shapes today in math. We drew them, labeled them, and wrote how many sides and vertices each shape has.

In social studies we read about some geographic tools and our state bird.  

We also managed to make our envelopes for the Valentine's Party.  It will be Thursday at 2:00.  I sent home a note, requesting $3 so I may buy pizza.  I also sent home a list of students in class.  I will list them here, as well, just in case.

Your child also received a plant today.  They were sent to third graders.  A flyer went home with them so that they can plant them.
