Young authors welcome their new published books

We started with another hidden picture today. And usually these take 2 or 3 days, but several finished them today!  They are amazing!

We took an open book quiz in reading today.  We also started reading The Hundred Dresses.  Chapters 1 and 2 are their reading assignments for tonight.

In math we added Gallon Man to our notebooks.

We also made name tags today.

Everyone was excited about the class book coming in.  It turned out nicely!  If you didn't order one, and want to, a flyer came home today, telling you how to do this.  The PIN for our book is 7306450.

Have a great evening!

Third graders work with sequencing

We started with a Wake-Up Will Rogers Assembly.

Then we worked with sequencing, using the steps of an apple growing.  We also used skills such as matching text to pictures.

We continued practicing multiple reading skills in our bug packet.  Very few questions, but some reading.

We wrote our spelling words using the chart we keep in our daily folders. A list should have come home.  If one didn't make it, the list is only 12 words. We are using the 12 months of the year this week.

We went to computers to practice our math skills in IXL.

Students watch basketball game, finish science project

We had an exciting day today with the basketball game.  It was a great experience for me, with this being my first year.  I have had 2 back surgeries, so I was score keeper.  But after watching today, I think I might give it a try next year.  Everyone seemed to play nicely.

We took our spelling test today.

We also finished our science project.  They turned out so cool.  Make sure you child shows you his or hers.

We did some reading.

I sent home several things today, as I didn't get them all in the Wednesday folders.  Some have papers that need to be redone.  If they are here Monday morning, then I will adjust the grade in the grade book.

Have a great weekend.
