Class is enjoying its study of fractions

We had a very busy day today!  We started by writing our spelling words using our color chart.

We took a quiz over Cranberry Valentine.  We also did a book review over one of the books from the Sequoyah list that we have read as a class.

We worked with our vocabulary today, as well as reviewing prefixes.

In math we compared fractions and introduced equivalent fractions.  They seem to enjoy fractions.  I always had trouble with fractions as a student, but this group doesn't seem bothered by the least!

In science, we took an open book quiz over the states of matter book we read.  We revisited the three states of matter before going on in the Fossils to Fuel curriculum.

Don't forget that Thunder Reading challenge sheets are due, Friday, February 1!
