Third graders work on 2D and 3D shapes

It was good to be back in the classroom, and to see the sun!

We started by using a code to answer riddles.

We went to the computer today and worked on some reading skills. The IXL program is a great supplement!

We reviewed common nouns.  We will be reviewing several skills between now and the end of the year.

In math we discussed what a net was.  Then we made a cube out of one.  A net is a 2 D shape, but when cut out and assembled, it makes a 3 D shape.  

In science we got to see what happens when we mix the water and oil.  We made our predictions before doing the activity.
