Students use literature to discover the importance of different points of view

We had a marvelous Monday!  We started with a Wake-Up Will Rogers this morning.  We also did some place value practice.

We read one of my favorite books, The Pain and the Great One by Judy Blume.  That is their reading assignment tonight.  It is a great book to show different points of view.  There are two sides in this book.  The older sister tells the first story.  The younger brother tells the second one.

We also started work on a booklet about Abraham Lincoln.  This is a fact-finding lesson, as well as a following directions activity.

We worked on our class books that I have to mail by Friday, in order to ensure their return by the last day of school. REMEMBER:  If you haven't sent the envelope and signed letter, I must have it by Friday.

We worked on multiple skills in math.

We got finish reading our newspapers in social studies, and do the crossword puzzle.
