Today in third grade: computer work, a new book, fractions on a number line, a new newspaper

We had a good start to a new week.  I can't believe we only have about five weeks after this one!  It makes me sad to have to give up my kiddos.

We started with a Wake-Up Will Rogers in the cafeteria.  Andrew and Abbi were recognized as February's Terrific Kids from our class.

In reading we did some silent reading and took turns on the Chromebooks, going to IXL in language arts.  We also read a book about a stuffed bear that was on the Titanic.

We worked with fractions on a number line and added to our notebooks.

Spelling words will go home tomorrow.  Yes, it has been awhile since we did these.  But we are starting back this week.

We started a new newspaper in social studies.  Tomorrow, we will start with the rock section from the Fossils to Fuel curriculum.

Scholastic book orders are due Wednesday of this week.

I got our class book off to the publisher.  It will be here around May 12.  We can't wait to see the end result of our authors' hard work!
