We had a great Monday, although you can tell they are much
more comfortable. I had to remind them about no voices or whispering
voices several times today. We discussed how important it is to listen
when it is time, so that we can have our play time when it is time.
We started with some addition practice.
We read Wolf! and your child brought the book
home so that he or she may read it to an adult. Please sign it after your
child has read it to you. If your child is struggling, you may read it to
him or her. They will bring the note back tomorrow so that it may go into
a bag for drawings.
We worked with nouns today. We are working with common
nouns right now. We added several to our notebooks, under the headings of
person, place, or thing.
We worked with place value today, using the base 10
blocks. We worked in pairs. I would give a number and the groups
would represent the given number with the blocks.
We have our first set of spelling words. We will take
the test on Friday. We said, spelled, and said them today. We also
stair-stepped the first five. your child should have brought home a list.
If not, our words are afraid, always, ask, away, catch, eight, great,
playing, prey, said, stand, takes, than, they, waved.
Have a great evening!
