We had a great day in third grade today. It was good
to be back.
We worked a lot with figurative language today. We
introduced metaphors and filled out our notebooks that we made. We
had fun making up our own, and guessing what each one meant. We also
compared them to similes, and discussed the differences. We also
discussed what they had in common, such as being comparisons.
We also worked with lines, rays, and line segments.
Have your child tell you about each one. We made our own out of sticks
and pom poms. We also came up with definitions.
We read our next newspaper in social studies. We enjoy
reading about our state.
