Students learn about onomatopoeia

We had a wonderful day today! No one seemed to have had too much candy yesterday!

We started with a poetry lesson.  They read a poem, then I read it to them.  They answered a few questions.  The last job was to write a poem using onomatopoeia. The ones I heard were great.

In math some of us finished our baseball themed review.  We also discussed some of the tasks they had to do.  We will finish going over those tomorrow.

In reading we did a review over context clues.  We will be doing a lot of reviewing this week.  Remember, our test is next week. I will be sending a letter home about it.  Please remember not to stress.  That is rule number 1! I will be asking you to send a drink (with a lid) and a snack each day with your child next week.  It always helps them when testing.

Everyone received his or her spelling list for this week.

We are out of tissues.  If you could provide a box or two, it would be greatly appreciated!
