Third graders see rescue dogs, work on word problems, learn about synonyms and antonyms

Don't forget:  Tomorrow is Wacky Wednesday!

Third grade had another great day. They are practicing during specials time for the program that is Thursday night.

Today we got to see some rescue dogs in our morning assembly. In math we did some more with word problems. They had a non-C in them. We enjoyed the Anansi books last week. We also had a review of synonyms and antonyms. We started a list. But today we added to them then we went into words that have more than one meaning. They enjoyed those. I wrote two sentences on the board. They had to find one word that made sense in both. That was a great activity for the whole class. We were able to discuss it.

(Note: a previous posting of this blogpost had an unfortunate error.  It's what happens when you dictate a post into your phone and then miss something in editing.  The previous post, in the third paragraph, said the class enjoyed some Nazi books -- that should have been Anansi books. I promise you, third graders are not studying about Nazis!)
