Many students improve ISIP math scores

We had a great day!

We took our ISIP math test today. Many improved their scores from September. The goal is to see improvement each month.

We worked with making fractions using objects in a group. We had miniature animals and items to work with. In our groups we made an example of a fraction I would call out and write it on the board. For example I might say I want you to make a group that shows 7/10 are ducks. So they would have 7 ducks and 3 of something else.

In reading we did a comprehension check up, as well as a main idea review. We. used our book What is the World Made Of?

We received our new spelling list. They are:

  •    save
  •    give
  •    have
  •    live
  •    move
  •    above
  •    alive
  •    alike
  •    to
  •    two
  •    too
  •    know
  •    do
  •    blew
  •    blue
We enjoyed the Fire Clowns today. It is always enjoyed by all. It gets very loud!

Parent/Teacher conference notes came home with your child. Please return them tomorrow.

We still have room for a couple more games in our basket for the auction at the school carnival.
