Students begin work with basic graphing

We had a great day! I can tell we are getting anxious for Thanksgiving Break, though. Today we did some independent practice using 3-D shapes. We had to apply what we learned about them. Applying what we have learned is sometimes difficult.

In reading we worked with, and reviewed, inferences. We gave some true-life examples and took a quiz. Most did very well.

We also discussed our writing project this week. It is to do with fall and/or being thankful. Thinking was our job today. Tomorrow we start the pre-write process.

We started something new. We started our first graphing picture. This is where we color squares by their placement. (EX. C3) Ask your child about this. It looks and feels like math, but it helps with reading maps, reasoning, and some many other skills.

Have a great evening!
