Third graders working with two- and three-digit multiplication

We had a fast and fabulous Friday.  We started with a page that required reading and following directions.

In reading we took a comprehension and vocabulary test.  We first listened to the story.  We also did a vocabulary check up activity.

In math we worked with 2 and 3 digit by 1 digit multiplication without regrouping.  They were proud of themselves.  For example, 101 x 5:  5 x 1 one = 5 ones,  5 x 0 tens =0, and 5 x 1 hundred = 500.  Ask your child about the different "9" tricks we practiced today.

We did a spelling activity with our words.  With people gone and still on a sugar rush, I opted not to give the test today.

Have a wonderful weekend!
